@Billie2 - I'm sorry this seems to be the end for you and DH. This is the coal face of IVF, that's it's not something you just do that always works. I think there are some people outside the IVFworld that think IVF is the fix all back up that eventually works and sometimes it doesn't. There is still so much to be done scientifically. For some of us the stars align and it works and for others it doesn't through no-ones fault. I hope you enjoy getting your life back. Everything bad that's ever happened to me has led in some way to something good that wouldn't have happened had I not suffered that bad thing. I hope that's the case for you.

@Minniemin - Sorry to hear you have been sick hun hope you feel better soon for your cycle xx

I had my scan this morning and my follies just need a little bit extra time so the plan is to trigger tomorrow night for a Friday epu. I still have around 18 growing fairly evenly at the moment and lining is just under 14mm which I was amazed with as its never been more than 10 or 11mm. Not sure if I can put that down to the acupuncture or the diet and exercise but happy to take it.
All this feels very repetative to be honest I have been here so many times its just routine now, not feeling the excitement I use to, here we go again.
On another note Warren wants me to use the IM progesterone injections daily this time due to my low progesterone last cycle. Not looking forward to those.

I was just coming in to see how you went today at your scan!! Frucking forgot to ask earlier Luv then got sidetracked with appointments and sh!t this afternoon!!! So sorry!!!

Oooh....Everything sounds great!!! Follicles growing evenly....Check!!! Bloody lovely lining on the go...Check!!!

Better start tenderising your a r s e cheeks in preparation for those IM P4 shots Luv I say from what I've heard!!!!

They're supposed to be pretty nasty!!! I've heard some of the Girls on the donor thread say directing the hot water onto the lumps in the shower helps with the pain etc so that might help Luv if you find yourself in the same situation once you start using them

The Girls on the DE threads will be able to help you out with any questions you've got I'm sure

I can imagine it feels repetitive for you Luv, but I'm hoping Wazza has worked his magic for you and you'll have a few Golden Eggs among the haul he collects on Fri at EPU!!!

    Default IVF over 40's #42

@Heyside looking good 18 follies, thick lining! I know you it might reminiscent of the past - but dang girl - they're good numbers!

I've never had IM injections but they don't sound great - good Luck and fingerscrossed!

@Heyside its sounds like all is on track. Best wishes you egg farmer!
@Tinachris we had taco's for dinner.. and I will forever think of you eating mexican. Are you mexican ?? Underlay underlay..
@greenlady thank you for that message. Im not sure what good will come of our 8 year battle. I hope your words are true. Ive had the worst year of my life. Cycle 2 = haemorrhage that I thought would take my life, a concussion at easter, cycle 3 = miscarriage in August and now cycle 4 and final another mc. I didnt just quietly fail IVF, I ripped the guts out of it and carved it up, cooked it and fed it to the wolves. Maybe I will think more positive once time has passed. I just said to another lady that I feel like Ive had a loss. Like I lost my wallet, only 10384820 times worse. I feel lost. I am just so thankful I did not poas whilst away on our holiday. I would of worried the whole time and not had a brilliant weekend and I would not have been intoxicated so that I wouldnt of wore my scarf as a headband and break off a palm leaf and put it in the back of my headband scarf and danced like a Brazilian..

    What do I do now?

The thought of having another baby has been in my head every day since having DS9. Not many people choose to have 1 child. I hope My story helped explain secondary infertility. I know there are a few of us on here.

But this is it. And we are leaving on our terms. Infertility and IVF is not taking away another drop of my blood (except thurs).

Now I will stop doing a @gorgeousgeorge length post (which I ) and let you all get back to the regular scheduled programming of ttc 40+ !

As Chow once said "we had a sick night bi7ches"!

@Billie2 well im not sure what you do now? I havent followed your journey in its entirety but i can say that this year has been a bi7ch for you and im so sorry. I left the thread about 6 months ago and decided that was it. Im now considering DE but im still hesitant to get back on the rollercoaster. I want to say this though i actually remembered i was ok without this ivf thing. I was a good person not a failure. I had a great job friends etc. It was nice not to feel hopeless and like a complete failure for a while. I cant say anything to you to make it better but ill be thinking of you and hoping you find peace.

@Heyside, I don't think many of use here get excited about the next cycle hon. Hell, I'm not excited about my scan next week - just petrified of a 'same as last time' result. Slightly different circumstances I know, but same-same too, if that makes sense? I think you're off to a bl00dy great start though, if that's of any consolation. Your lining is amazeballs - I think a lot of ladies on here would have lining envy, including myself! And with 18 evenly sized follies growing away....well, we all know there are no guarantees but you're in prime position at the starting blocks hon

@Billie2, oh hon, I wish I could come over and give you a great big hug. And I wish I had the words to make you feel better but I just don't. Everything you said was so right - you've given this IVF caper a red-hot go and I hope you can rest easy at night knowing you did everything you could with the options you had available to you.

I know now will be a very reflective time for you. What the future holds no-one knows but sometimes I think doors open to us when we are least expecting them to. 12 months from now you might be out at lunch, with your partner and little man, and think "You know what? I'm happy. I'm happy with my life just how it is right now."

    Or.....

Maybe a year down the track, you might think "Ya know what? I'm not done. Donor eggs here I come!" Or perhaps you might consider the possibility of looking for some donor embryos - which DO come up from time to time.

All I know for sure is that now is the time to be looking after you, lovely. You HAVE had a loss. Coming to The End of any journey is a loss. So now is the time to nurture yourself. And we are all here for you to chat to, to vent with, to cry, and yes - to laugh with. You are and always will be One Of Us.

@Blossom74 thank you ladies.. Its a new day and I am completely ok and fine. Yeah it does disappoint me but I cant keep going. Obviously getting 2 lines wasnt my issue, the 2 times we put in 5 day blasts they implanted. I still think something is wrong with me that stops them getting further than 6wks. My first mc I was young at 29, so there has to be something. But please dont feel sorry for me. I have a gorgeous son, a beautiful home, a corporate career, Im playing sport and have a big family to be around and a 40th coming up to see the Gunners. Im rich in other areas rather than infertility beating me.

But moving on.. @Blossom74 how are you today? My cycle buddy from back in July had no symptoms at all. She is around 18wks now. She was a nervous wreck and still is. It might be a gift from all the pain you had previously. Every pregnancy for me has been different. From every symptom to none. And Ive had 5. With my son, nothing kicked in till 7weeks. So you really have a way to go before it kicks in.
@Heyside you are very right. None of it is exciting anymore. And I don't think you can exhale till a baby is in your arms screaming. We constantly feel we will be disappointed so we dont get our hopes up. We carry around a small jar of hope in the bottom of our handbag and thats about it.
@Rhino I wanted to know how you are going? Was it confirmed twins?
    @skeeter how are the twins?
@Lastchance75 how are you travelling? You have done so well my friend. You did get the last dance hey. Best wishes for the scan.. xx
@Spazzyp nice work on the 2pgd normal. Thats a huge hurdle jumped xx

Hiya @Billie2, I'm just fine thanks lovely. Still nothing exciting to report but 'last time' I had frequent peeing at night, backache and sore boobs with no baby at the end, so maybe no symptoms this time around is a good sign? I am trying to focus on the positive things ATM - my HCG is going great guns, P4 is perfect, and I did have some wicked cramps the week after transfer so who knows? Hopefully there is a little bubba growing away as we speak
