For those who were successful - how did you demonstrate "no other savings"?

We still have a mortgage so I was going to say no savings. Which is true, the offset account is really just reducing the loan - but will they say "just redraw" or "sell the house"?

No need to demonstrate it as such, there is just a box you tick on the application. If they were to ask then you would just need to show that those funds are earmarked for something else. We just ticked the box and that was it. No questions were asked.

stalking, dont need to access funds as it stands but if i can then that would go towards something useful.

And could keep funds for house deposit. Can we hide these funds somewhere so we can access the super????

    Thats food for thought.

    Default Superannuation funded ivf

People accessing their super to fund IVF has received a lot of media attention lately and has been subject to criticism by many. I am concerned that with the media coverage and public pressure they may start clamping down on this. The reason that I say this is to please remember that we are posting on a public forum and anything that you say here could be picked up by the media. Accessing super for IVF could make all the difference for some people in terms of whether they are able to start or add to their families. If anyone is thinking about abusing, manipulating or taking advantage of this for other purposes then please consider the implications this might have on others who really do need these funds.

@Phia it took a month or so I think... I got the approval after my transfer, when it was too late if it was not approved!

@skeeter thanks for that! It's very nerve racking putting it on the CC and crossing your fingers. Good to know it came through.
