I was a single mum of DS1 who was 1, I was 23. I was desperately trying to finish my thesis - which is put on hold the year before after DS1 was born and his dad had left us.
I was flat broke, scared ****less but madly in love with my little boy and determined to give him a good life.

I was in year 11. Over school but doing anything else was out of the question. I had a boyfriend who I loved to bits and thought I would die without him (we broke up 4.5 years later) I lived at home alone with Dad since sister started at uni that year.
I was working at Spotlight in the fabric department pretending to know how much fabric was needed to make a pair of pants!
I did my deb ball that year and had my first taste of having my hair and make up done!

I was 17 and in grade 12.
I broke up with my first boyfriend (by leaving a letter in his car, which he didn't find...) very early in the year. I spent most of the year having crushes on inappropriate men in their twenties. I had a "Bill and Monica" incident with one of my brothers friends which soon got around my very small town.
I did my deb ball that year, it was greet fun! I also got my Ps and terrorised my small town by driving a big F250 around hehe.
I drank, I smoked, I partied.... it was a good year!

I had just turned 21. Had been dating a guy for about a year, which means we are about to rack up 21 years together.
Almost half way through an engineering degree and loving my uni days. Plenty of grunge, doc martins and music festivals.

I turned 12 and started high school. Due to small town bullying from my small primary school (think 30 people in the school total) my parents decided to send me in the opposite direction from everyone else to high school so I was madly finding my feet in a year level of 200 kids. I made some great friends at that school and I'm so glad my parents made that choice for me. I had only been thinking about this recently as a friend from high school is getting married this weekend and as maid of honour i was trying to write my speech and wondering how in hell it had been 20 years.
