Ds2 started this morning, did not batter an eye lid, got on the bus, no fuss and like that was gone. Will be interesting to see what the school say about him today.

Ds1 starts tomorrow, looking forward to being alone again.

Dd started yesterday loved it. Not loving the new director. She was so rude to most the parents. (Most arrived early) 8:20 and she came out saying kindy doesn't start until 8:30! I just think that's rude and uncalled for its first day most mums wouldn't of sent kids to childcare etc so a whole new routine.
@A-Squared my mil saw all new kids getting shown around at your dd school and said they looked super cute! (She delivered parcels there.

Same. It's a horrible thought. My big girls told me they saw DD all by herself at playtime and I was gutted. I told DH, and typical of a man who doesn't suffer with anxiety etc, he told me it was only day 2 and that she quite often plays alone at home. I hope he's right.

Oh hon Hopefully your DH is right. Even though she was on her own, I'm sure there would have been other little ones doing the same thing. It must be overwhelming for them to even know what to do!

I really hope DS makes at least one friend this year. He doesn't seem to 'get' friendship and often just plays actively on his own. Sometimes other kids try and reach out to him, but he doesn't give much back, so they give up. He'll be in a class with other children with similar challenges to him, so hopefully he'll bro down with one of his little homeys

You know what, I would be ok with that My Ds likes to play by himself quite a bit, he will explore his surroundings and often tuck himself by a tree digging / sifting for who knows what bug or small rock. Im sure some other child will join him and realise what a fun boy he is.
I am sure the same for your DD

My 4 year old starts Thursday!
I was a little annoyed that my SIL's mother said he was too young to start school.Grrr.

My son isn't really talking much about it. Just said last week why does school go for so long, lol
Im worried he will refuse to go back! He would be the type to say "You said school would be fun, but it isn't!"

You send them when you think they are ready.
You know him more then she does.

I am sending DS2 to a special developmental school, and they want the special need kids as soon as they are eligible. I would (knowing him) make him do a 2nd year of kinder otherwise like his big brother.

DD started this morning! DP took the day off to come and see her off with me (and pick her up) which she loved. DD was great, totally happy to be there and was all smiles, but I knew she'd be fine
