We are on our way home from a holiday and it's all starting to hit me a lot more now, it will be even more real once I start getting lunch box sorted etc.
A new world is ahead of us! I have very mixed emotions!

Thanks Ahalfdozen! DS is off his first day tomorrow such mixed emotions. I know he is ready and will love it but a little sad to see him go. Can't help but worry about him.

Depends what it is.
Freshly cut fruit I only do in morning but easily chuck an apple or pear in the lunch box at night. Depending what's on the sandwich. If they want Vegemite I make it at night and put in fridge overnight but for tuna or salad etc. I do in mornings.
I work 3 days week so I usually get up 30-45 minutes before they wake to make theirs and my lunch and the days I don't work I do theirs in the mornings.

Hope those starting tomorrow have a fantastic first day!
My DD is 4 - starting kindly - I don't know if she can write her name. She surprised me a few months back by writing something like "To nane hape berda" (to nanny, happy birthday) of her own accord...so maybe she can.
DD's planned her first-day lunch; cheese & Vegemite sandwich (butterfly shaped!) with veggie sticks, crackers and fruit.
