    Default How much per hour?

How much per hour do you think I should pay an 18 year old (not related) to help out at a party we are holding. The role would be handing around food, general tidying, keeping things topped up etc.

I was thinking $15 per hour or isn't that enough?

    Thanks!

I think that is less than min wage? I would personally pay $20/hr.

For adults. I'm assuming for an 18 yo it would be much less.
Plus I'm thinking this is cash in hand?
    Sounds fair to me.

ETA:I get 21.50 an hour. And I'm qualified. And it's a tough job. And I pay tax.

Wow i thought it would be a lot higher than that. Especially since 18 yrs is an adult. How can anyone survive on those wages?! There are plenty of 18yo who don't have parental support. I know in my first yr uni (i was 17, it was 13 yrs ago) I charged $20/hr to babysit and was never short of work.

I would pay $20 an hour at least plus a tip at the end if they did a great job.

She'll probably be there about 4 hours. $11.52 seems ridiculously low!

$11 might be the minimum wage but I would feel scroogey paying that. I think at least $15
