Default Art - who knows anything about interior design??

So I'm trying to style up my little house with some artwork.

I can't spend thousands of dollars on super fancy original gorgeous stuff, but I've found some stuff on a few websites & shops that I like.

The house has very light grey walls and is relatively small. It has good amounts f sunlight but still needs something to lighten & brighten it up.

My question is, can I have a gorgeous canvas in my living room (lightest Pink imaginable with magnolias on it) and then in a hallway, have a beachy print with palm trees (very trendy Californian) etc on it. Both prints are so my style.

We live near the beach but I don't want the house but don't want the house to look cliche.

    Any tips appreciated!

What other accessories do you have? Cushions, throws, vases, rugs, candles etc? What colours are they and your furniture? We are in the process of a total Reno and I've just spent a small fortune at addairs and have bought some new art from a few different places - what stuff have you found you like? Post some pics!

Chocolate brown couch which I hate, but can't change it yet. The rug will be grey and white. The pillows will be probably teal or similar to make it 'pop' I think?! Will post pics of the prints wen kidlets in bed!

We literally bought a new lounge today to get ride of our old brown one! Love teal - I bought a pale green throw and teal green cushions for our family room lounge
