Second cycle I ditched Monash and my fs there and just used the fs at cfc and dr m. It was a very expensive and challenging cycle with all the extra drugs but he got me pregnant. After years of cycles he was the only one who gave me hope. I am eternally grateful to him. There's a thread about him on bh but if you've got any questions about my protocol I'm happy to answer them. I'm 40 this year and never in my life been pregnant.

    Xoxo
Thanks @Caesardust. It was our second cycle. Our first cycle in November last year our embryos were no good so they assumed the donor was the issue so this time Dr Heylen thought there would not be an issue.
I would love to chat to you further about your protocol im just not sure how to private message?

@Kate83 im.sorry to hear. I xant recall have you had nk cells tested? Do you have any immune issues? Donor eggs does give higher success rates but its not a 100% guarantee. Did you have any frosties over there? Oops sorry just read you have nk cells. What about intralipids?

Yes we are lucky enough to have been able to freeze 6 embryos. understand it's not 100% we only have ever done ivf with donor eggs so the whole thing is new to us. Haven't tried intralipids though think I will next time Dr Heylen did suggest it today for the next transfer.

Bit of my background I am 34 years old and was diagnosed with pof 2 years ago. There was no obvious reason for the pof.
Just wondering how many donor egg cycles others have gone through and if there is any other testing I should be looking at?
I am seeing dr burmeister here in Melbourne and she has found I have nkc however treated this with clexane injections and presilodone. Any advice I would really appreciate
So sorry to read your news @Kate83. I was quietly barracking for you from the sidelines. I feel your pain as we went over to CFC for our first try with donor eggs 12 months ago, after 5 yrs trying with our own eggs. And of course hoping our luck would change. But no such luck either. I have just started with dr M here in Sydney trying to find answers as to why also and have gone through testing for immune issues. Results are showing every type of nk issues plus a type of gene which is related to implantation problems. So looks like we are heading down the path of serious drug protocol some of the other girls have also mentioned to prepare for our second CFC attempt with a new donor, in a couple of months? I have learned throughout my IVF journey that no specialist can really provide any specific answer as to why we have not been successful so far. You just have to keep trying different things, some of which may not be accepted main****** *. And all the while hope you have the financial means to continue the treatments suggested by those who are getting such high success rates. I am happy to share what drug protocol Dr m is suggesting for me and why, if you would like. Everyone is probably going to be different so what is suggested for me may not be right for others though. Take some time to be angry and sad but in the end you need to dust yourself off, be good to yourself and your partner, and keep moving forward. Our time will come I believe. Just need the strength to keep facing the knocks in the meantime. xx

I think a consult with Dr M is a good idea...I'd still stick with Lynn as well though. sorry to hear your cycle was unsuccessful. it took me 4 goes to get my two pregnancies. x

@Kate83 - so sorry to hear about the BFN. Even if you suspect that is what the blood test will show it i still a physical and mental blow.

I did 3 cycles at CFC to get my bubs. First was 9w miscarriage, then BFN on the frozen cycle with single remaining emby. Successful 3rd cycle was new donor PLUS Dr M ! I am a big believer in 'everything plus the kitchen sink' approach so I don't really know what was the thing that lead to success, or if it was just 'my time' but we got there. I definitely would encourage seeing Dr M and following his suggested protocol. You can also do Acupuncture (ideally 6 months prior to transfer) and of course a naturopath for general body well being (I went gluten free, eliminated caffeine and reduced sugar intake) plus 1001 supplements. Financially it was hard but I figured it was cheaper in the long run to "invest" in early cycles rather than have unsuccessful cycles and change/add only 1 thing at a time.
