    Congrats @CAEserdust

Some of you may remember we had our first attempt with donor eggs last November and we were unsuccessful. We are leaving tomorrow for Cape Town for another attempt with a new donor. I am so nervous about going again and would love some advice on how to keep the nerves under control?

Hi Kyle, it really is nerve wracking, my advice would be to keep busy, but give yourself some relax time ie a massage I find once you fly it goes quick, I find using and giving updates on bubhub gives you some outlet to discuss journey. Good luck i wish you every success with you new donor

    Hi Kate,
I remember you- of course you would be feeling anxious love.. its a really big deal. Plus, you've just pumped your body full of crazy lady drugs!
This time you are trying a new donor.. it already makes it a different experience for you. You already know how professional and lovely the staff are at CFC- they will help to alleviate your anxiety and of course you can always come and vent here!
Try to drink some gorgeous South African wine (while you can!), take a day trip to Stellenbosch or do a safari.. book a massage and hike Table Mountain.. before you know it you'll be flying home, hopefully with a stowaway or two. Good luck!❤️

@Kate83 I know that you will be anxious but I think the second time round the nerves are not as heightened. You know where you're going, you know what to expect and there's comfort in that familiarity. This was my second trip and I had a new donor and although I was desperate for it to work I really didn't expect it so I just took each day as one day at a time. I concentrated on each part of the day to take drugs as my ivf time and then the rest of the time I just got on with enjoying myself and relaxing. I hope you have success. Making the second donor trip is not one anyone expects to have to make. Good luck xo

Hi ladies I'm starting to feel a bit anxious. DH and myself are booked to fly to CT for our first DE cycle on 9th May. My CFC doctor had me on the pill for about 4 weeks to regulate my cycle. It's now been 4 days since I stopped taking it and AF still has not arrived. I'm supposed to start taking my meds tomorrow but doesn't look like that will be happening now. Has anyone else been in this situation.

Hi Sonja23, mine I think came on day 4. Email the CFC Doctor today... They are quick to respond & will let you know what to do. Good luck :-)
