@dee2017 - Welcome and sorry about the BFN - they suck.

My Aus specialist put me on 1000mg per day of Vitamin E to improve lining. There are also foods that supposedly help (Avocado being one) so you might want to visit a specialist Naturopath or do some internet research.

Thanks Cathy. And massive congrats on the twins! I'm on vitamin e but I'll check out the avo & other options. What was yours to start with ? And at the end? I got the details from CFC & they ha e a different tablet in their protocol to what I have here. I'm terrified I'll go to SA & it'll fail because of my lining.

I understand your concern especially if may have lining issues. There are a couple of ways around this. I used donor sperm so only flew out after I had my day 9 lining scan.. Which I had in oz. My FS from oz was monitoring me with scans and bloodtests. Arrived just before transfer. On yr first trip though.. You will need time for a psych session before transfer. Obviously if lining is no good.. Once you have frosties.. It is much easier to time a FET on your next trip. I had 1 fresh transfer.. 1 frozen transfer Bfp but mc, new donor fresh transfer, bfp. All single transfers as was scared of twins as already have a toddler from OE . Others have suggested leaving a sperm sample if you are using partners sperm if you have to come back for a second trip. In this instance... Yr trip can be much shorter.. Last time I was only there for 4 days.

This is like putting plan b and c in place .. In case it doesn't work.. But success rates are definately higher.. But obviously depends on what issues you have and what yr donor is like.

    Good luck

thanks @kylie764 those are good tips. My FS has said she can do the care leading up to it as well Did you just use what CFC suggested re meds? They are different to what i was prescribed here. I think i have picked an ED with good track record so hopefully that helps. Fingers crossed!

I was under the care of Waz so I was on heaps of med ( over 20 tabs a day)... So on a lot more than cfc recommends .

I would still run the donor by yr clinic as they will tell you the exact story. In particular u want to know how many blasts they ended up with at day 5 and what quality were they. The agencies may only say they are proven or how many eggs at pickup which is often a lot different to at day 5. My first donor was a dud so hence why I had to choose another for trip three. I didn't ask the right questions when choosing my first donor.

This is a massive help @kylie764

Is there are rating scale for the quality? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I tried to get into was but there was crazy long waiting list. I'm curious what meds you were on though if you are happy to share and if your lining was low and improved? Feel free to PM if you don't want to share publicly.

@dee2017 .... lining varied each cycle. 1st which was a BFP but eventual miscarriage was 11mm at transfer but final successful cycle was only 8mm on transfer. CFC want 7mm or more and they will up your Progynova to try to improve it if it isn't quite there when you arrive for your first appointment with them. I know a few girls do 'dry' cycles in Oz before going to CFC for a transfer to test out how they react to the meds especially if they have had lining issues... basically, do a full cycle but without the transfer and have regular scans to monitor lining etc. If you and your Aus FS are worried about lining and meds, maybe this is the way to go ?

Personally, CFC have such a good record (and they were the first in the world to have a successful ED cycle), I would be going with their meds. Most of us have added meds as extra to the mix but I would always talk to CFC about what you want to do and why. They were happy with what I added in.

Wow I did not know they were the first to have a successful ED cycle! My FS suggested the dry cycle too so that is the plan but i just want to hurry up and do the real one! And yes of course i will check CFC is happy with the meds (and FS here too). Having a closer look it looks like is the same except CFC suggests tablets instead of patches for one.

In big news I have filled out my medical form to get started as an official CFC patient and i think i have picked a donor too! (pending what the clinic suggests)

Hi ladies just wondering what your thoughts are on acupuncture before going to CT. I will definitely be having it on day of transfer but wasn't sure about it before we go.
