Hi @Lolly99 I remember you too. How are things going? I'm honestly not sure at the moment. I want to transfer two but with poor blood flow I wonder if I'm lowering chances of success with two. I'll speak tommy specialist after the scan and decide. I still don't even know if I'm going, the scan on 3/04 decides my fate!

Has anyone not used the embryoscope and been successful? I used it the first time and no joy and this time I said I'd give it a miss as the cfc fees have also gone up. I'm worried that I'm reducing my chances but it's not even an option here anyway. Thoughts?

Hi @Caesardust I didn't use the embryoscope. We transferred two and my twins are now 11 months. We had 3 other embies still going but none made it to freeze. I don't know that the 'scope would have made a difference or not.

@Caesardust I remember you from previously too - great to see you going back ! It was my 2nd fresh DE cycle with Dr LeR and with Dr M that gave me my twins so fingers crossed this is the one for you !

Re transferring 1 or 2 .... talk to Paul LeRoux - he will give you the success odds of both options and I found he was pretty straightforward with me as to what he thought the best option was.

Re Embryoscope - why do you think it might reduce your chances ? I was one of the early ones that used it at CFC and again, it was in my successful cycle. I can't think of any negatives with it - it simply removes the possibility of 'shock' to the embryos every time they are checked and gives the embryologist the best picture of how the embryo's are developing. Go for it. It was about $400 when I used it - how much has it increased to ? For me, when I worked out what I was spending overall., it seemed a very small investment that might help.

Re Dr M - yes - I forgot about the writing things down ! I used to take a list of questions on a piece of paper and write his answers on that same page so that I remembered it all and then the back of the page had scribbles and other notes from the conversation ! Interestingly I found him much easier to talk to and discuss issues when I was in Hurstville Private hooked up to the Intrallipids and he would come around and check on everyone. Maybe on a Saturday night wandering between patients he is more relaxed !

I didn't use the embryoscope for my first de cycle.. 2 transfers 1x bfn 1 x bfp ending in mc. Second de cycle in nov 2016 I used the embryoscope. Cost about 4000 rand or $400. Single transfer resulting in bfp. Many in the freezer as back ups.

@ceasardust we are going well twins just turned 8 months! They are hard work at times but I wouldn't have it any different. We don't have any family support here but our friends have been incredible. It was a no brainier for us to transfer two as we are older and wanted to get our family going quickly and also of course to increase our odds of having at least one baby. We also used the embryoscope.
I'm sure your will get very good advice as to your decision😄😄

    Default Edsa

Reconnected with Cape Fertility to start our new cycle planning and paperwork and they told me they no longer work with EDSA donor clinic. Has anyone heard this and been told why?

Welcome back @ Caesaedust. I am back for another shot also but will probably not get back there for a few months yet. Good luck in April.
Thanks for the tip. I've just made an appointment to see him in two weeks so I will make sure I write everything down. Was surprises that I could get in to see him so quickly when it sounds like he is in very high demand. Fingers crossed it goes well.

Default Probably the most insane question posted here!!

Am currently in Cape Town and have lost my Price list. But have found the 2016 list in my email... useless. Am now going into Meltdown that I haven't got enough money in my account and can't get hold of my husband.
(Back home in Aust) can somebody please post the 2017 price list. I have already paid 60,000ZAR what is the balance... 2nd payment. HELP!
