@emski72 what a haul! Congratulations mate, sounds like you picked a good donor.
And @ferngirl, congrats on being PUPO.. exciting!

Hi @waitingtoexhale it certainly seems daunting at the beginning, but it really does just fall into place, step by step as you go along. Both Cape Town and Greece are beautiful (and easy) countries to visit. Good luck with your journey and feel free to ask any questions if you need to xx
@Kate83 congrats on selecting your donor! Once you've paid and advised the clinic, they'll book her in for screening tests. The medical plan can take quite awhile. Mine took 6 weeks but I'm told that's pretty fast. It's hard waiting when you need to book flights and accommodation.

@Kate83 once she is booked in and has seen the doctor it takes around 7- 10 days to get the results and treatment plan in your hand. They won't screen your donor until close to when you're cycling though so that the results are current (which makes sense) and if you're donor is cycling for someone else before you they need to rest them for two weeks for their hormones to drop etc. before she undergoes tests for your cycle, so be prepared to wait on this, you'll be dying to book flights and accommodation... normally expect to get your treatment plan 4-5 weeks before you're leaving for Cape Town

We had our scan the other day - one on board with a strong little heartbeat very exciting. The project has worked for us so far. Hoping the luck continues for @emski72 and @ferngirl and all you other brave women about to embark on the adventure

Just a reminder to those travelling over if you are bringing back meds ( ie lucrin depot is available and a lot cheaper than here as well as gestone) ask the admin for a tax invoice and check its a tax invoice then you can claim vat on way through we have done both times and the desk at Cape Town before check in is virtually empty. It all adds up right. Save any goods invoices with vat included you can claim anything you take out. You get it on a debit visa in Australian dollars (or whatever) pretty easy.

Hi everyone, I'm just popping back in for a visit. Our twins are 8 months old today and I've just contacted ababysa to see how our donor has been going. We were her first and she's just finished donating to her fifth and final family. She was 24, probably 25 by now. We are the only family that had twins (so far) and the others were all successful except December's cycle which they are still waiting on results for. If anyone thinks they may have the same donor as us and wants to get in contact, just send me a message. It's mainly about curiosity and not so much about wanting an extended family or anything. I'm not a stalker lol.
