    Hi Kate,
I'm sad to see this news.
The first IVF experience fills us with so much hope and it's a huge disappointment when it fails. And you have also bravely travelled halfway across the world to try to fulfill your dream.
Infertility is such a difficult journey.
I hope you are doing ok xxx ❤️

Kate83 I'm really sorry to hear about the negative results. This is such a difficult journey, and I know I have found that the disappointment is often really isolating as others don't really understand the loss that goes with each negative result, (unless of course they have gone through it themselves) Anyway I hope you have some wonderful support around you .

I came back on Monday, after a rather stressful return with one thing after another going wrong. I'm really worried about the impact that all this has had on the embryo, and am struggling to hold on to hope for the looming blood test on the 12th. I did get a whole lot of gestone, but have had a reaction to it, and now have painful itchy welts on my bottom and hips. My FS suggested I consider a new pessary that has come on to the market in Australia, but I have to stick with the injections until the blood test results are known. DH is still refusing to do the injections, so I'm going to my local GP whenever possible, and otherwise struggle to do it on my own.

I had massive welts too and thought it was the gestone...but I reacted to the bandaids. Have you tried not covering the injection site with anything after injecting?

Thanks for all your kind words ladies, I'll be ok. We have decided to try again in a couple of months with another donor. Think we look for a proven donor this tone. Do you ladies have any advice on what to look for?

Yes, transfer in a couple of hours. Fingers crossed.
@Blu that sounds awful, gestone is painful at the best of times.
My friend had some very difficult times early in her pregnancy and was worried about the effect it may have on her Bub. Her doctor told her "it's very hard to shake a good apple from the tree" so maybe those words might give you some comfort.
    Crossing everything for you xxx

Kate, on the advice from the ladies here and things I'd read, I chose a proven donor in her 20's whose childhood pics, height and eye color were similar to mine.
I also emailed the clinic and asked for her donor history. X
