    Hi Ladies,

    Looking for tips on managing the stress and paranoia of the first 12 weeks! I'm really struggling to stay focussed on work and whilst everything was wonderful at last weeks scan I'm panicking that things have changed. I know this is irrational and don't want to be pestering the GP for scans each week like a crazy lady. The IVF train has filled me with worry and bad statistics that it's a struggle to maintain a straight head.

    Any tips for getting through the first 12 without going insane?

    I hope you are all feeling well
    @Maz40 Welcome and congratulations!

    No tips sorry Hun but you aren't alone. Especially since Charlotte was stillborn back in June for unknown reasons (she was fine). So I'm talking myself down often too.

    Welcome & congrats @Maz40 what date in August are you due & I'll add you to the roll call
    @Gingerlion I'm sorry you're so stressed... I can remember with my first I was so unproductive at work, I just couldn't think about anything else so no advice but to say hang in there & soon bubs will be stronger enough for you to feel movement it's so hard not to worry, especially if it's in your nature!

    August 27th. I still cannot believe it, and I can see that I am not alone expecting the worst. It is hard the 1st trimestre! I will have the NIPT in a couple of weeks and I am already panicking! (I am 40!!)

    I am the 26th aug also have nipt soonish (week 11 as work needs hubby to travel before that so I have another week of torture to endure!!). I know what you mean with you can't believe it. I am still struggling to believe it even though I've seen the scan and the hb. So exciting though

    Has anyone else's specialist told them to expect to be induced or have a c-section at 38 weeks due to ivf and risky births? I was a bit miffed as was hoping for natural birth no drugs - although that may have been crazy. At the end of the day I just want a healthy baby. But still, didn't realise the options were so limited.
    @maybebaby and @AmyEL it's good that I'm not alone in feeling worried. It is in my nature but still I wish could switch it off! Changes in symptoms especially worry me! Crickey, I drive myself crazy!
    @AmyEL can you add me to the roll call? 26 Aug
