Hoping someone might like to share---

Was just wondering at what point did you (anyone wanting to share) stop the estrogen tablets and progesterone pessaries ?? And did you just stop or reduce them gradually ??

@anotherway my ob reduces them gradually from 10ish weeks. I'm on so much so it may be slightly different but I would reduce slowly. I'm seeing my ob Thursday and I can share her exact plan.

Thanks @mummymaybe! That would be great .. I was told to just stop by OB on wed .. however I feel really uncomfortable in doing this (so I didn't), I was on 4x 400mg prog pessaries a day ..

@anotherway My ivf specialist said to just stop but I wasn't comfortable with this. My ob said to keep taking all medication until 12 weeks. I can then stop oestrogen but with the progesterone she said to drop it back by 400mg each week. I'm on 1200mg. I also asked if it's feasible to take progesterone the whole way through pregnancy and she suggested I stay on 100mg just as a security blanket. I'm going to do that I think. I also asked if it's harmful to the baby in any way and she said not at all. So I guess I'll be 16 weeks before I'm only on 100mg. She said if I was to stop straight away it is highly likely I'd bleed. Everything would be ok but she said it's a stress I don't need and I agree!
