Hi @Cooki I'm sorry I can't help with the PHI question but we had a successful cycle with the Preston clinic in May last year (bubs is now 11weeks old) and I'm expecting the account to be sent out for the storage fee for our 1 embryo on ice shortly. We got 1 year free storage and then the annual fee for further cryo storage is $600/year. No Medicare rebate. HTH

    thanks @onedaymaybebaby thats awesome, congrats!!

We are doing our final FET(PGD passed) transfer with monash as they offer us discount from PGD test from the last fresh cycle before we transfer them all to primary.

We're going back to see Dr Sasha (Preston clinic) to sign the consent form end of may and see the nurse and councilling so we can transfer the frozen embys to Primary.

Dr Sasha has been awesome so far, he said he's happy to keep our usual protocol from Monash and request ultrasound guided transfer due to my funny cervix. He think he might not see us again after this FET transfer with Monash because of pgd as he believe it will work .. so he is right.

    baby to everyone

Thanks @Ourlittlebubble that's amazing! Such a huge difference to other clinics.
I'm keeping PHI, just in case I need anything extra as I've had a lot of endo issues but I'm pretty sure most pregnancy/related would be covered easily in the public

Not sure sorry @LittleFox, perhaps try calling reception at your clinic to check? Hope you've got someone to drive you home after! Xx

@Wonderer89 I have PHC and my EPU was completely covered. I paid $0. I paid approx $200 for all my drugs, and I was on an extra injection (Luveris for egg quality). Transfer is free. Dont be scared to ask for things, and ask as much as you want to. I would email the nurses around the clock. Best wishes to you all.. x

    Thanks @Billie2
We had our first appointment with the GP last week and go back on 1/6 after a few tests. Most of mine were up to date so it's just STD, progesterone spike and another semen analysis. It's starting to feel a bit real

Hi, I have been reading through all the threads regarding Primary IVF, it has helped so much in knowing what to expect.

My partner and I had our first appointment with Primary IVF in Sydney back in early March.

We had all our test at the second GP visit for the results they said due to a spike in my results for thyroid. I would need to have another bt. Had a blood test done at primary that day then saw my local gp for the thyroid results (which come back clear) and now have to wait 8 weeks to have another bt to see what the results are.

so at the moment I am waiting till the middle of june before I can have my blood test again to see what the results are. finger cross it comes back ok.
I have booked my appointment with GP from Primary for the week after my bt and also they have booked us into see the specialist and the nurse as we live over an hour away.

its seems to take forever when you need to wait to have a blood test done. lol
