As I am heading for a chemical pregnancy with Monash IVF and the funds starting to dry up fast, were thinking of moving to primary IVF for new stim cycle.
Those of you that in Melb and going through primary IVF what can you tell me bout them? How many IVF specialist are there and would u recommend someone over another?
i have nk cell and had so many blood work done with Monash already do I need to redo theses with primary?
also do the use ultrasound guided transfer?
Sorry for for the so many questions but their website does not have much info at all and I want as much info as I can before I jump in with them.
Thanks in advance

Any experiences with primary IVF #5
@Cooki My specialist is linda she is wonderful but sometimes not open to protocols people have had in the past just from what others have said. Nick the other specialist did one of my transfers and he is great too. Yes they do ultrasound guided transfer I'm not sure about the blood tests just bring all your results

Just booked an appointment for the 28/10
Question; is it possible to book appointment with their gp and get the Fertility specialist appointment on the same date or do you have to go one day at a time?
Sorry just trying to minimise the amount of days off we have to take for these appointments.

@Cooki - we moved from Lynn Burmeister at Monash (5 cycles) to Primary and got our BFP on the first cycle with them That said, we were lucky enough to get Dr Nic at Primary who was happy to go with the protocol which we suggested from our experiences with Monash (I don't know what the other FS is like, but my understanding is that you get whoever you get). My treatment was also for NK cells so I was on Prednisolone and clexane after transfer (with progesterone supps) and even though the nurses gave me some grief about it because it's not their 'usual' protocol and hasn't been proven, if you stick to your guns and are confident in what you want then you should be able to have a say in your treatments.
I'm not sure about being able to book appointments for the same day etc, but I can tell you that there were heaps of things we had to repeat, despite having done them for Monash (tests, police checks, child protection checks), so the sooner you can get them underway, the better.
Good luck and feel free to PM me if you want any extra info

@Cooki they wouldn't let me do appointments on the same day except nurse & councillor despite living an hour away and my husband being self employed. However saying that they have bundled appointments together for people living 3+ hours away good luck with everything
AFM - my Gp wasn't keen to do a beta early he said it wouldn't change anything he told me to relax and be happy and congratulations so I went out and brought more tests lol and the line is slowly getting darker bring on Friday!!! Hey I am too with LB she got me bfp first transfer but ended in Mc. 2nd transfer first icis stim with her is also bfp but I'm currently going through chemical right now 😔 she's great but just can't afford Monash price no more.
Mm so u can't pick who the specialist you want to see?
Yeah I'm thinking there are going to be so many appointments by the sound of it even before we started.
So you suggest we should fill out the police check and child protection check form now or wait til our first gp appointment then go from there?

Yeah I called them they said no but I can bundle the nurse and the council into one day appointment.
I'm keen to get the appointments to be out of the way so when we are ready to start with them I just pick up the meds and away we go.
I would start now if I could but dame chemical gotta let all the hcg to go down to 0 first before I can start anything.
Not to mention still waiting on my pgd results 😐 from Monash

@OneOfTheseDays and @Cooki I was of the impression that Dr LB is like a celebrity fertility specialist. I rang her rooms once and got frightened by her $400 first consultation fee and plus there was a 3 month wait too. Does she really work miracles?
I think Dr Linda tends not to be open to what u want unless she thinks it's absolutely necessary. Maybe that's not such a bad thing?
