I wouldn't say calculating. He knows what happened and is avoiding talking about it. His parents probably gave him things to say. "Moving on with his life"... Sounds like something parents would say.

Default The Case of JonBenèt Ramsey

My sister died when I was young and I don't think my parents ever used those kind of phrases to me or anyone else. The avoiding yes I understand but the lines he is using if they have come from his parents then that is strange in my opinion

Just remember he's a 9yo boy. No idea of consequences or death.

Absolutely I just said the same thing to DH - I don't know how a 9yo really processes these things, that's the thing with death as an adult or child there is no right or wrong way. It's hard to get my head around.

I don't believe the autism angle but l do believe he has been coached by his parents bigtime. I agree that he seems cold in his interviews with the pyschs. He isn't emotional about his sister's death. Most kids his age know between right and wrong.

Even I struggle to cope with the idea I won't see someone again once they die. How can you see someone every day then one day they're gone?

He refers to video games a lot. In video games you die well you just start again.

But there was nothing nothing on her at all; it was all on him. Very self centred
