    Chances are that's the case over here then. That's alright we hadn't looked into it because we figured that would be the case. DW doesn't get paid mat leave so when I go back to work she'll take PPL (we are tag teaming the time off).

    Our DD was born 1/7/16 and we got the newborn supplement which consisted of an up front payment of $530 & we get $2100 paid over 13 fortnights, i think for memory i get $244 roughly a fortnight till its paid but thats the maximum amount paid, depending on income as to how much "supplement" your entitled to is what they told me. Not sure how its changed though, will be interesting

    The newborn supplement is also higher for first borns. if it's your second or subsequent children you get a lower amount.

    Yes, it's based on your family income unfortunately
