    Default Baby bonus cut?????

So I've just seen on the news that the baby bonus has now been cut. Does that come into effect immediately? I'm due with number 2 at the start of November and as a single mum who's husband walked out and left us with nothing when I was 7 weeks pregnant after ivf that mkney would have come in very handy!

No it only passed today babyno1. It was dramatically reduced a couple years ago but not cut completely

By the look of the centrelink website it's come into effect immediately. Damn. Oh well.

I'm so confused about this... I thought the baby bonus was cut ages ago..

Do they mean they've taken away the new born upfront and supplement payments?

It was changed to newborn supplement or allowance or something? I think it was part of FTB A or B or something.

Yeah this is what I'm super confused about. Why do they keep calling it the baby bonus. Why not call it the new born supplement if that's what they were cutting.

I'm super ****ed about this as we were counting on in and it's apparently come in effective immediately
