Hi, I'm jumping in here too as my EPU is probably Saturday. Hi @RenaiH welcome! I hope that your journey through IVF is brief and brings you a healthy baby!

Welcome! I have found these forums particularly helpful throughout my journey, hope you do too. I'm like you, the waiting for the cycle to begin is the worst. I actually feel good when the cycle starts because mentally I feel like it's one step closer. Good luck, hopefully it's a short journey!

@Phia good luck with EPU on Saturday!! Hope you get a good haul.

AFM I'm feeling sick as a dog. Sore throat, swollen glands really sore head. Nothing to do with IVF but it's just bad timing. Hope I feel better soon as it's nice to feel in good shape when they put an embryo on board.

@lotsathoughts I hear a lot of women talk about how they were in the worst shape when they transferred and got pregnant! Who knows!Maybe your body is worried about other things and the embryo is just left to do it's business! Sending you babydust!

    That would be wonderful 🏼

Something at the back of my mind still thinks this cycle isn't really happening. I think I'll feel so much better once I'm PUPO.

Not used to FETs. Do you usually wait around 14 days before trigger like stims? I don't always ovulate so can't rely on my cycle determining the timeline.

Welcome to the newbies on this thread. Glad we all have a place to go through this together!!!

Lotsathoughts this will be my first FET so I'm going in completely blind. Will be very keen to hear how you go all the way through re: stims/trigger. My FS wanted to do a natural Ovulation cycle cause I have been having 30-45 day cycles, I said no!! So will be doing low dose stim. I keep checking what cycle day I am and I'm only day 10 (I usually O between day 17-25) the next few weeks are going to drag as I'm not stunning til next cycle....

Welcome @Phia and @RenaiH! Best of luck with your respective cycles.

I've now convinced myself that the stims aren't working at all. Urgh bring on Saturday BT.

Thanks @lotsathoughts. You're absolutely right, I'm overthinking massively. I'm just getting nervous and comparing with my last cycle where AF had completely stopped by day 3 of stims - but hasn't stopped yet this time. I realise this is silly as last cycle was cancelled so definitely shouldn't be using it as a yardstick!
I just dislike not having control and knowing what's going on in my body.

How does everyone else deal with this lack of control? Is it just something I'll learn to live with over time?

@nettz84 I totally hear you there, the lack of control is horrible. And what makes it worse is that if you have a negative result one cycle, it impacts your confidence the next cycle so you're dealing with a double whammy there. I know when a cycle goes horribly for me the next cycle I'm paranoid that it's even worse! Some cycles I don't feel the stimulation drugs doing anything till later. One cycle I had 18 follicles and I probably felt it the least. It's a huge mind game that leaves you feeling helpless. And pregnancy doesn't get any better...but anyway, that's for us to discuss when we make it to a DIG!

I don't enjoy the lack of control. The only thing I do is distract myself when possible. Apart from that I have no real pearls of wisdom to help. Thank goodness for forums to this where we can vent. Xx
