Fairyfloss, my clinic says up to 26. When I triggered I had a follie at 24, I'd say they are trying to give the bulk of them time to be at the right size, after all if you lose the lead follie but pick up three smaller ones you're still ahead.

    Try not to worry xx

I read an article by some guy called Dr Sher. He said:

"The timing of the trigger shot to initiate meiosis: This should coincide with the majority of ovarian follicles being >15 mm in mean diameter with several follicles having reached 18-22 mm. Follicles of larger than 22 mm will usually harbor overdeveloped eggs which in turn will usually fail to produce good quality eggs. Conversely, follicles less than 15 mm will usually harbor underdeveloped eggs that are more likely to be aneuploid and incompetent following the trigger."
@Jellyblush - I have always held the view that the lead follicle contains the best egg.. I don't want to sacrifice it for the smaller ones to catch up cos I think they are going to be bad quality.. Did your 24mm follie result in your darling bub?

Cramping on and off today. It seems that just when I'm due to use more progesterone it gets worse.

I can't do this anymore. I'm done with it.

I wish No bub for me though I've been doing this for what feels like forever.I generally have all my follies contain mature eggs and fertilise though (just don't have many of them)

If you feel strongly you want the lead one to be at optimal size and have communicated that then your clinic should respect it - it's your money, body and decision. Best of luck to you!
