Im still breastfeeding my 16 month old, but came off the pill a few months ago and thought my period would return soon after stopping but it is yet to return. Is there anything i can do to make it return? My DD isn't ready to give up bfing yet but im hoping to wean her by Christmas if she hasn't done so her self.
We are ttc but im unsure if im ovulating properly, i get a day or 2 of ewcm and get ovulation pains but haven't had a positive opk yet.

Are you still feeding during the night? I didn't have any luck getting my period to return until I night weaned. I continued to bf during the day but needed that block overnight to start ovulating again.

DD doesn't normally night feed, only recently has she had a night feed here and there due to her teething, otherwise she sleeps through.

Mine didn't return until I was down to just one feed in the morning when he woke and one before bed.

Mine returned 4 weeks after my dd's birth and I breast fed for 2 years. Same pretty much with my son who was a c section baby. I think it's the luck of the draw

Ok so i guess i just have to wait it until it returns.. so its highly unlikely ill conceive until af returns?

Mine returned 6 weeks after birth grr so annoying despite pumping ltrs of milk a day and breastfeeding. You can "bring your period on" once you body is ready and your ovaries wake up then your body will start but again...i know it sounds funny but your ovaries go into a "sleep mode" during pregnancy.
Your body might be trying to ovulate and it is failing during to not enough hormonal changes to successfully ovulate hence the egwcm.
