I'm currently planning a donor egg cycle in Greece for around April next year (I'm on the Greece donor thread ), and we had come to terms with this really well as a way to deal with my low AMH, hetero MTHFR and endo (4 failed IVF cycles with only 1 embryo transferred, and 2 prior miscarriages from natural pregnancies).

However, after testing with Dr NL, we've now found out we share DQ alpha genes 01:03 and 01:02, I've tested positive for ANA and NKC (13 cells/hpf) and mildly raised antithyroid peroxidase antibody (65).

Dr NL said to come back and see him in January in preparation for April donor cycle (I think he'll use dex, intralipid and clexane), but I'm confused about what to do in the meantime. I'm already gluten free, and mostly dairy and sugar free, but I want to know what else I can do to prepare my body for transfer, especially as I feel really exhausted at the moment, maybe from so much treatment this year, but maybe because my body is suffering with all the immune issues.

I'm seeing a naturopath who specialises in immune issues this week, but do you think I should book into see Dr M? Has anyone seen him for a donor egg cycle, and if so, do you think it would bepossible to work with Dr NL, Dr M and the donor clinic? It's all seeming quite scary and hard...

Thanks so much in advance and I hope you're all going well xx
    Hi
i am seeing Dr M and a FS and had treatment with donor egg overseas, Czech Republic. They all work in together. Dr M does his part, the overseas clinic was ok with his protocol and added their part and my FS looks after me here and ongoing through the pregnancy. So far all working well.

Hi ladies, I'm new to this thread and so just wanted to say hello. I have had many IVF failures of lovely looking blastocysts some of which have been PGD tested so I think that the issue might be a very unfriendly and a uncooperative uterus. I have high NKC and thyroid antibodies and have tried intralipid/clexane/Dex in the past but it hasn't worked even with PGD embies. So after reading this thread I have just booked a phone consult with Dr M for 25 November and have just started reading the Dr Beers book. My fs is Lynn Burmeister and I am meeting with her next week after our worst ever stim cycle where we were left with nothing to biopsy or freeze. I have a few questions I am hoping you guys might be able to help with. I'm just wondering how I go about telling LB that I am consulting by with Dr M? What happens if they disagree on the best course of treatment for me? Also, has anyone worked with Dr M but not done IVF? At this stage, given that I ovulate, my tubes a clear and DH sperm is fine I'm not sure how IVF is really helping (especially after what happened this last time)?

Hi ShannyAnny, I'm seeing Dr M and Dr L. Ive heard good things about Dr B too but the reason I went via Dr M/Dr L is that from my perspective, they look into the whole immunology suite and are more aligned with Dr Beer's protocols as opposed to parts of it and I feel immunology is the reason for my failures.
I havent done IVF yet. I'm 33 and will look to do it next year when I'm 34 if I'm unsuccessful in the next few months trying naturally. I ovulate but my PCOS makes it difficult to determine when this will be as every month can be different (between 30-60days, even with metformin).
Dr L promotes a more controlled environment and therefore has recommended IVF but Dr M has provided a protocol to conceive naturally with assistance; my husband and I will try this first before IVF, so I hope I'll have some good news soon! It will also give me some time to improve my egg health as I suspect the NK cells have impacted my egg quality and I want to try to improve that before I go through IVF. If successful, I'll need to work out if I use Dr M or Dr L for immunology treatment; Dr L has the advantage as he is based in Melbourne but if I'm using the Dr M conception protocol then it may be easier to use him... I guess I'll use one of them and then see if the other one can be a second opinion. Its difficult because they are both slightly different so it might be better to just make the choice and go with just the one to stop the confusion. Neither do obstetrics and I don't want to go back to my old one because they clearly were out of their depth when all my results came back abnormal - didn't have the experience with immunology, wasn't aware of it, or didn't believe it. I can't ever let it happen again so I need to surround myself with specialists that do believe in immunology issues, so if anyone can recommend a good obstetrician please let me know !

Hey - I am also seeing both LB and Dr M - I have tackled it by not telling LB about it. So far Dr M has only suggested slight changes from LB's protocol to dosages and timing of drugs I'm already on, so I am just following Dr M's advice. I would say cross that bridge when you get to it - if after you speak with Dr M he has vastly different advice, you might want to talk to LB about it then.

Best of luck - sorry you had such a tough time with your most recent cycle. It's a tough road but there is so much hope in this thread!

Hey @Lastchance75! Yes I got to go home yesterday and he let me go to work today as long as I aat down most the time. I did and took it very easy and came home a little earlier than normal and now resting with legs up.

How are you? Were you in late? Do you have anymore bloods coming up?

Yeah he suggested I get it checked but only after I asked him about it.. so much variation between doctors and their opinions.

After a great HCG rise yesterday, 11020, I've had a scare today with some bleeding. Been to ob and there is still some hope, he can see a sac and it is looking how it should at this stage. So HCG again tomorrow and hopefully still rising. If not then this is the start of a miscarriage. Feeling a bit stressed but trying to rest.
