He didn't prescribe me last time and I don't think he did this time either. I heard them say last time that he is not prescribing as much now.

Glad ad I stayed overnight. Still got an hour to go on IVIG then the fluids.

I just had my first phone consult with Dr M (for high NK cells, MTHFR - 7 failed IVF transfers). He seems really great and wanted to change up my protocol slightly, which I'm happy to do. There's a few things I'm a little confused about though and would love opinions on:
    - moving to 1.5 mg Dexamethasone - should this be at ovulation or at transfer? I think he said transfer but I can't remember, and feel like it should be at ovulation.
    - starting clexane before transfer - my usual protocol is to start clexane night before transfer, but he said to start it a few days before but not on transfer day. Does that sound right? I'm worried that skipping a day of clexane will let my blood get thick. And I have always had it night before transfer and been fine.

    Would really appreciate any insights!
    Hi EllePea
i started Dex 3 weeks before transfer. Not sure if different cause I used egg donor. Clexane 19 days prior and yes do not have clexane on day of transfer.

Thanks Debant! Yeah I'm currently on 1mg of dex from my usual FS for this cycle but not sure if I need to up to 1.5mg at ovulation or at transfer. I ovulated yesterday, so thinking I might need to up to 1.5 today. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Since I usually do my clexane at night, does that mean not doing my clexane the night of transfer (ie the same day as transfer?)

Sorry for all the questions, I usually call my FS's rooms with questions to allay my fears, but that's a little difficult in this situation.

I remember upping my dex at transfer with Dr M but this pregnancy I was wrani g down so only on .5mg when I fell naturally and that was only when I remembered. I started my 3 dec when I got a positive preg test. So either way I don't think it will make a big difference.
I also take my clexane at night and just skipped the night of transfer with Dr M. With my clinic they had me starting day of transfer. So yes all a little confusing. I would just miss transfer night, it won't thick your blood for 1 day. I have been off clexane for 4 days due to some spitting and my blood is still pretty thin.
    Best of luck!

Hi everyone, thank you for this thread, it's been really helpful to read through it as I'm feeling really overwhelmed at the moment with my recent immune results.

I'm currently planning a donor egg cycle in Greece for around April next year (I'm on the Greece donor thread ), and we had come to terms with this really well as a way to deal with my low AMH, hetero MTHFR and endo (4 failed IVF cycles with only 1 embryo transferred, and 2 prior miscarriages from natural pregnancies).

However, after testing with Dr NL, we've now found out we share DQ alpha genes 01:03 and 01:02, I've tested positive for ANA and NKC (13 cells/hpf) and mildly raised antithyroid peroxidase antibody (65).

Dr NL said to come back and see him in January in preparation for April donor cycle (I think he'll use dex, intralipid and clexane), but I'm confused about what to do in the meantime. I'm already gluten free, and mostly dairy and sugar free, but I want to know what else I can do to prepare my body for transfer, especially as I feel really exhausted at the moment, maybe from so much treatment this year, but maybe because my body is suffering with all the immune issues.

I'm seeing a naturopath who specialises in immune issues this week, but do you think I should book into see Dr M? Has anyone seen him for a donor egg cycle, and if so, do you think it would bepossible to work with Dr NL, Dr M and the donor clinic? It's all seeming quite scary and hard...

Thanks so much in advance and I hope you're all going well xx

Default High Natural Killer Cells #9

@EllePea I usually did clexane at night too. G said to do it earlier in the day like morning or afternoon on the day BEFORE transfer and then nothing on the day of transfer and then continue as normal the following day.

@Debant why has Dr M asked you to stay a few nights at hospital for intralipids and then skip a few days of work?

@Mink I am not staying a few nights or skipping work. I only stayed last night , the night of infusion. I decided to do that rather than drive 3 hours home after. Glad I did last night as I did not finish until 1:30.
@Olive79 and @Lastchance75 I got phenergan last night. Helped me sleep well. Don't know if it was cause I did IVIG, but last time I did intralipids I did not get it.
