    Default D&C (not for miscarriage)

    Hi
I have tried to find info else where and I am currently waiting for a call back from my dr but thought i might ask here.

I had a D&C and polyps removed over a week ago. Very minimal bleeding afterwards and recovery was slow.

I was due for my period starting saturday (3/9) and thought because i had a D&C that i would get a period when it was meant to happen. However i am now bleeding and showing all my normal period aches and pains.
Should i be worried about the bleeding or would this be my period?

If you are worried call your doctor otherwise it can be completely normal. I had D&C, lap & hyst and still got my period a few days later. I was a little freaked out so saw my gyno who assured me it was fine.

Just because you've had a dnc doesn't mean you won't get your period as dnc is manually removing things where as your natural hormone levels hadn't dropped yet (which they have now giving you a 'period'). You'll most probably find it's not as heavy and won't go for as long as a normal one for you. But if in doubt call the dr

    I think it's normal.
