I've never in my life taken a sleeping tablet, but my god, I would tonight if I could.

Got any Valium Luv??? Take a couple of those if you do or else get your hands on some Restavit from the chemist

I'd love to throw back some Valium @BlondeinBrisvegas but the idea of sleeping through DS calling out for me during the night completely freaks me out. Maybe I should just give him some too. Problem solved!

Hiya Had a busy afternoon faffing around with various issues. Just getting a minute to myself now. @Tahli, yep, due to start the Pred and Clexane on CD2, as well as the Progynova. Never used Progynova before though - I think it's meant to build up lining - is that right? Anyway, that's the plan. Just waiting on AF whom my clinic assures me will come tomorrow. Tell that to her through - I'm betting Wed evening or Thursday morning. We'll see.

Soooooo......apparently I am a MTHFR. That is, I have one of the MTHFR genes as it turns out. They told me the name of it which of course I can't remember, but they did say it was the lesser of 2 evils if that makes sense? I am expecting a call tomorrow re treatment plan, but as I'm already going to be on the Pred and the Cexane I think I'm sort of set anyway. Is it wise to flip over to folinic acid instead of folate though?

Um..what else was troubling me.....um.......oh, antibiotics. I do have a prescription here so might get that filled and take it just i case. Can't hurt, right?

I've noticed that taking folinic acid is great if you have the mthfr gene and your homocysteine levels are elevated. Folinic acid lowers homocysteine. Elevated homocysteine can put you at high risk for heart attacks, strokes etc..

Clexane will help with the mthfr, but if you have one copy of the gene, you honestly needn't worry too much. It's only an issue if you have two copies that you should be concerned..

That's the one! Hetero! Oh yay, so it's only a heart attack I need to be concerned about!!!

@Blossom74 and everyone else, is it just me or when you see the MTHFR gene, does it look like shorthand for 'mutha f u c k a'? That's what i call it in my head. Will that matter though, if you are doing a donor cycle?
With the antibiotics, i know one clinic in greece gets ladies to take antibiotics and antiviral meds just jn case, like how some fs do with pred and clexane. Although everytime i take antibiotics i get thrush. So thats not much help is it, ive just given you more to worry about. Good one gorgeous george. Why dont they just make folonic acid for everyone just in case??? These meds questions i ask myself drive me mad. Anyhow, sorry im not much help mate.

You'd definitely still here him if you only took 5 mg's. I still reckon you'd hear him on 10mg's but for sure you would on 5mg's IMEO anyway

Or else have a couple glasses of wine or something???

@Minniemin hey there, i saw your post on the sa thread about epigenetics. I bought this book from 'the book depository' website. Its fascinating. Im supposed to be saving it for the plane but i cant help myself. Its got all sorts of cool info. Thought id share it here as there's lots of donor ladies on this thread and im not on the sa thread.
