@Blossom74 i just had an idea. Dont use a paddle pop stick to 'poke around'. Use bfn frer's. I cant think of a better purpose or place for a bfn frer stick than to end up in a pile of s h i t. :-)

@Blossom74 Ive become a cranky pants this past week on the estrogen too! Ive lost my tolerance to most things...grrr. bloody IVF Hooray for getting off it!!!

you girls were cracking me up too last night. Love @gorgeousgeorges idea of using the BFN sticks as the "paddle pop sticks"

Im sooooo jealous of your Greece trip btw, I have such great memories of the greek islands, eating dinner at a restaurant on the beach-literally on the sand, cold beers after a day of floating around in the Mediterranean, topless Germans playing ball sports on the beach (there was far too much bouncing going on)..and the food! oh the food!

a FB friend posted a pic of a brekky menu (she's currently in Greece) and they had 4 different types, English, Continental and then the Greek style one was a Greek coffee and 2 ciggies The fitness one at the bottom of the page had no price next to it as if no-one eats it. Hilarious!!

@Charlie74 Im so sorry you are going through all this, I just want to send you the biggest hug. FWIW it sounds like you're in good hands and he will throw everything at you guys for this next cycle. The first time you hear the stuff that you didn't ever want to think about its so incredibly difficult, I guess I felt that way (and will never forget) the Dr telling me she thinks its time to move to DE. I was in pieces. In time you start to process it and then you can make better choices about what you will and won't do, I think at the beginning its just so hard to even get your head around. I hope you guys can comfort one another through it all and just take each step at a time and see what happens, its all that you can do. It sounds like you've got a really lovely partner and that will be a big support. Im thinking of you and hoping with every ounce of my being that you guys will get there in the end, however it may happen. Its just so goddamn unfair and I'm totally gutted that you even have to think about any of this. xxxxxx

@pingc383 thanks so much for this very helpful info. I'll be asking my new FS about using Gonal f and menopur on alternate days at half doses split between morning and evening. I don't know about growth hormone but the name sounds promising, I'll look it up. I never knew I'll have a problem of not producing enough eggs I'm 35 with AMH of 15, no PCOS and recently no endo detected. The only difference between this cycle and past cycle for me was that I did Accupuncture and Chinese herbs during the last cycle when I got two healthy embryos (via PGD). And got 11 eggs (as opposed to 6) with a lower dose of Gonal f. But my nurse told me that every cycle is different and our bodies respond differently to the same drugs every time so there's not much that can be done by the FS. And the nurse and doctor who did EPU told me several times 'it's quality over quantity' and I get that, but the odds of getting an embryo increase with an increase in number of eggs - that's just pure statistics! The embryologist told me that generally only 1 in 3-4 embryos fertilised makes it to day 5 or 6.
I'll ring Wazza's clinic on Monday and get an appointment, I might get in next year given how busy he probably is.
