So...'Offspring' just got a bit more realistic. Poor Nina :-( She'll probably start posting on this thread now. ;-)

Thank you ladies for your best wishes for tomorrow.
@Tahli, how long were you on Metformin and do you have any tips to share? I was told the side effects may last a week but I have them permanently. I first got nausea and diarrhoea (tmi) and then got severe conscription. Then came zero appetite which stayed along with nausea. I have tried to take it right after meal, in between meal, drinking more fluids etc but nothing has worked in fact the symptoms have gone worse. I particularly think Metformin with Ovidrel has created a really bad combination.
Oh and the nurse called today around 4:30 saying I haven't submitted my PGD consent form when I had given it to them some time ago, they've lost it. She said we won't submit the embies for PGD if we don't have it by tomorrow morning. I felt like screaming. Will now print and sign it all again..

Question for the girls who've done this- I presume if you are approved you get the money for a full cycle... When u get ur Medicare rebate do you then have to put it back into your super? Or can u keep it and just keep using for IVF related stuff??
I was told once it's out it's yours. I was putting my refund into my savings for future IVF...

@gorgeousgeorge Neens, we are here for you if you want to talk. Losing all 4 embies on your way to transfer after you offered one to your sister must be hard to swallow..

@Dotty27 the figures I put up yesterday were with Warren. He also charges for EPU $515 ($265 back from Medicare with full safety net), ET $170 ($83 back from Medicare) and cycle management $215 ($95 back from Medicare). The supplements and medications also add up with him. I'd say it is worth it though as at least it has a chance of working (unless he tells you otherwise).

@Mongol I was on Metformin for 9 months. I took it with food, split the dose, and also increased it in increments (I was on 2000, so week 1 was 500 only; then week 2 500 morning and 500 evening; week 3 was 500 morning, noon, and night; then week 4 was 1000 AM and 1000 PM). I think poor @Tahli had an unusually awful reaction to it and if you've tried the above, you might be intolerant of it too?

It is just hard as my scan on day 11 with Monash showed 7 follicles with 1 dominant 19mm with and getting my LH surge the same night of my scan and this was with IVF medications just naturally with acupuncture for 8 weeks, chinese herbs and elevit. So we are trying to get all our info together before we decide which way we are going. thanks everyone for the info you have given us.

If you can afford to do a Cycle or 2 with them (or one of the low cost Clinics) while you are waiting to see Wazza (as well as being able to Cycle with Wazza if needs be) then why not do at least one Cycle??

Obviously you could do more if you could Cycle at a low cost Clinic. The Fertility Centre at Springwood is the low cost Clinic run by QFG. Not sure if the issues you and/or your partner preclude you from doing that??
