Yeah we are trying to work out whether to try and some cycles this year with Monash as we are already seeing them and they are ready for us to say yes we are going ahead and let them know when day 1 is or whether to wait until our appointment in February with Warren. It is just hard as my scan on day 11 with Monash showed 7 follicles with 1 dominant 19mm with and getting my LH surge the same night of my scan and this was with IVF medications just naturally with acupuncture for 8 weeks, chinese herbs and elevit. So we are trying to get all our info together before we decide which way we are going. thanks everyone for the info you have given us.

    Default IVF over 40#39

@BlondeinBrisvegas that is great news about being able to move forward with DD! Good on you for your persistence, you are an awesome Mum!

I love that you have no greys - me neither! I'm dreading the day the hairdresser finds one!

And that honeycomb looks divine - hope you're taking the time to savour it.

I'm with you @Caesardust re wondering if all the meds make a difference. Hence wanting to do a truly natural FET. In my head I was calling it Operation Dumbo Drop. Just drop those embryos in place.
I'll know next Wednesdsay whether Warrens protocol is making a blind bit of difference to my lining. Then if I can get to transfer, will it make any difference to implantation and retaining a pregnancy. There's so many variables including embryo quality of course.
I do wonder whether Pred, intralipids etc will gently phase out over time, a trend for 5-10 years as a nurse suggested to me while administering my intralipids, or maybe they will become more popular with further studies. There's certainly women doing the Bondi type of protocol with no diagnosed immune issues. Just ticking another box. Reaching for hope as we all do.

@Summer glad your visit is going better than expected. It totally sounds like my mum, she too has some underlying mental health issue that has never been diagnosed that drives the negative behaviour, unfortunately these things get worse with age and I notice a deterioration every visit which is challenging.

I have pretty much slept all day and feeling very sick, super nauseous! I'm sure it's either the horrendous Metformin or the injections. Can't wait for this cycle to be over and I don't think I can do this anymore. I was going very positive and strong so far and suddenly feel like I've been hit by a bus.
All of you are super supportive and helpful, wish I'd found this forum earlier. Hoping for a smooth Egg collection tomorrow
good luck for EPU tomorrow & I hope you start feeling better soon. drink lots of water for the meds. glad to hear you've got appointments lined up soon

Hi @Blossom74 the nurse at my current clinic said they do a guided ultrasound to place it in the best spot and to ensure the embryo is not placed to high to reduce the chance of it moving into the fallopian tubes in the early stages and causing an ectopic pregnancy.

Someone with his level of experience and years of doing transfers doesn't need to plus I don't think it's proven it's necessarily going to give you a better outcome anyway (depending on which study you read).
