@Mongol please take care, @Caesardust advice is good, I agree to go and see your gp this morning, tell them it's urgent if they can't fit you in as it sounds like you need to talk to someone ASAP. We are all here so come in anytime and vent if you need to. It's a really hard road and we all understand. Thinking of you X

I dont drink much these days actually over the past 5 years i drink very little. When not cycling i would have a drink about once a month. I don't mind a glass of bubbles or a nice glass of wine. Often i just go out and have a nice non alcoholic drink. My local wine cellar where im.off tonight for book club does a nice hops beer with no alcohol its great.

I have a history of recurrent miscarriages (5) with no live births. One of these was via IVF and it was a PGDed embryo. I've since has further testing via Dr Braverman in the US which revealed some immune issues. I'm currently cycling with Monash in Melbourne and my EPU is in Thursday.
Just wanted to ask if any of you here have had counselling from Monash and what was your experience? Did your DP/DH also go along? I'm at breaking point at the moment (it's probably all the injections) but I was going well so far. Do you know if I can speak to someone over the phone before I do something silly? I'll call Monash in the morning to check anyway. I was going so strong until now. Hating all this as its just not me!

Hello Mongol and Welcome to the thread Luv

I'm so sorry to hear of your past MC's

Now that you've gotten to the bottom of it with Dr Braverman and are being treated for your Immune Issues your next embryo (which I assume is also a PGD tested one) will stick this time for you Luv

I agree with the other Girls about going to your GP and getting yourself a Mental Health Plan sorted. You can call and set up an appointment with a Psychologist of your choice beforehand though, so long as you have the MHP by the time you go to your appointment then that's fine.

I've also found some counsellors that specialise in infertility/IVF (just in case Monash can't get you in for an emergency appointment with their counsellors):

    http://access.org.au/?p=1404

Hopefully some of them are close to where you live Luv and might be able to fit you in for an emergency appointment

Other than that, you've got Lifeline (13114) or Beyond Blue (1300 224636) and us here on the thread of course Luv

I'm glad you've reached out and asked for help. Keep reaching out ok??? You can and will get through this

@Green lady, I'm glad you popped in here hon. You are in my thoughts, as always. If there is anything I can do...

@Mongol, get thee to a GP hon. Believe me when I say many of us have gone down this same path and there IS a way through this - a positive way. You just need some help. Definitely call your clinic and request some counselling with them too - it might not be immediate but they are good people to talk with. The only counselling I've done through Monash was for my donor egg cycle but they were great. Most importantly get yourself an appointment with a GP TODAY.

@Mongol you can call Lifeline in the interim they can also help with counselling, they may not be ivf 'trained' but they can certainly help until you get in to talk to someone 13 11 14 x
