Lol we've been at my sisters house for the two nights prior with a blockout blind on our window and are now in an apartment at Surfers with only curtains and can't believe the brightness! Strange thing is, couldn't find any cafes online with opening hours before 7am! With the sun coming up so early surely people are eating each other's legs by 7am

For Pete's sake DS why do you always have to sit on the toilet for ten minutes?! I'm going to be late for work now 😡

Perhaps I am just an alien. I am looking forward to having a kidless house and school boys next year.

I heard that's why the southern part WANT to push for daylight savings.
In the tourist areas those with kids are up at the crack of dawn and nothing is open, apparently it's quite common to see families on the beach eating snacks, and all the kids are tired and feral before you can go out to dinner, so all the restaurants and cafes are missing out on business they would get otherwise.

Personally I just don't see why you wouldn't just open your cafe early, like 5am. You'd get a heap of business. But I guess most Queenslanders are far too laid back to go to work at a cafe at 5am lol.

After DS2 screaming for 2 hours I finally got him to sleep in the ergo and successfully transferred him to his bassinet, only for DH to burst through door and wake him up! Arrrgghhhhh!!!! It was an innocent mistake, DH thought he had heard me call out to him. I hadn't. But it was enough to wake DS2 up and start the screaming all over again. 2 hours of hard work down the drain :'(

It was getting lighter at 4:30 am. I got up to check DS was warm enough, and then couldn't get back to sleep because it was already too light. Dunno what the issue against daylight savings is.

So much vomit, so much washing. Running late so I literally held DD2 under the shower as it was past wipes and I didn't have time to get in the shower with her.
