    Default Clothes vent

Can someone please enlighten me what the appeal is with tees so thin you can see through them?

I am becoming increasingly frustrated, especially as I mainly shop online, that more and more tops are thin and slightly see through. Online shopping is a complete gamble. I don't want to have to think about what bra I'm wearing. And I don't think it's flattering. 😑

Eta: I just received 2 miss shop tees in the mail and both you can see my bra through it. So disappointed. I should just bloody stick to rivers lol

I hear you! I'm so over not being able to find good quality long lasting tshirts - I mean ffs tshirts are a BASIC wardrobe item right???!!

The only place online recently that I've purchased good tshirts from is a US store - Everlane. They are actually quite reasonably priced ($17-25US) but by the time you add shipping and exchange fees the price obviously goes up. But they are a really good quality and not see through except the white! Steer clear of the white ones.

Or dare they rub on anything outrageous like your jacket to form lots of little tiny unsightly balls! I have discovered shaving them recently to reduce the appearance. I hope that made sense

Dammit I LOVE basic white tees. I'm forever having to buy new ones as I always stain them lol.
I'm willing to spend a little but cannot justify anything over $40 for a simple plain tee, particularly if I'm going to slop food all over them!

I still don't understand the see through tee look though? Is it because I'm old? Or is everyone happy to be cheap?

Yes, I've noticed very thin fabric seems to be common these days.

I don't care for it at all!

dotti penguin tail tees are my solution. inexpensive, flattering cut and fabric you don't treat all and sundry a glimpse of your nips in!

Me too. I have big boobs so they sit even higher at the front and show my stomach. Maybe before DD that would have been ok but not now πŸ˜‚
