No, my mum was a SAHM for 10 years, so until my youngest sibling started prep. In that time the only care we went to was the crèche at our church where we were minded by older ladies for an hour once a week while the mums played a game of social tennis. If mum had something to do where she couldn't take us one of my grandmas would have minded us.
Mum only worked school hours for a long time so no after school care but we did spend school holidays either at our grandparents or vacation care, which we hated haha.
My kids won't be going to childcare, their first experience of non family care will be three year old kinder.
