@Charlie74 ct is a nice place. It's been lovely having my friend look after us for the first few days and now we are on our own in a Airbnb which is near the waterfront. Lots of lovely shops I'm trying to avoid spending all my recovered super in!!

Oh, good luck to you and your donor hon. Exciting times!

thanks everyone. finished the call. hurrah for skype!

he's checking one question we had about the family limit & said the co-ordinator will contact us with the response and we'll go from there

he said it was an option for me to have a BT to check antibodies? is this the NK cells? I missed the full term he mentioned - anti nuclear bodies (or something)??. and for me to have a scratch and lipidal flush (sp?) prior to transfer. my other FS haven't done these. I'm almost too scared to as what if it comes back that this was my problem and my body has killed all my previous OE embies. I'm sort of at peace that this isn't my issue. might see how the first transfer goes and if it fails & there's frosties (he expects there should be from previous cycles) then try it then prior to next transfer. I do prefer the less medicated approach.

he didn't think it was worth doing PGS/PGD since our donor is such a successful donor but that we could if we want to. as there's a 70-80% chance the DE will work (beats 0-1%!! of my OE now!!) so it's prob not necessary. (though we'd need to decide as we're only having one EPU so would need to be done then)

so he's suggesting a fresh transfer. I go on the pill and the regulate/monitor my hormones.

first counseling appt tomorrow. our donor has hers on Friday. then we work out when we can all do the group one.
& we wait to hear if it's all OK to proceed.
our donor has just started a cycle for another couple. so exciting times. she's amazing!

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow with a very good integrated doctor to discuss potential progesterone sensitivity or allergy. She works with quite alternate things so am hoping she won't just dismiss my concerns & will send me for testing. Fingers crossed.

brilliant! @winsor. I think there might always be questions, Im a bit the same but at the end of the day you have to draw the line in the sand and be happy that you did everything you could do, its only humanly possible to do so much whilst managing to hold down a job, be in a relationship, deal with family and friends etc

Isn't it a lightbulb moment when they quote stats like that!! I think I knew then and there that we had definitely made the right decision to move on to de.

Congrats on getting through the first bits, it sounds like it will all come together pretty quickly and before you know it you'll be pupo!
