Yikes that's pretty horrible. Bet the poor kid gets called "Kway-lan"

Yuck. I would want to say that like quality. That's awful.
I hate strangely spelled names. I have a Rian which is a legitimate alternative spelling of Ryan and no one can seem to understand it

Adding some names that made me just wonder why, not people I know personally but knew of from online.
Bam Bam and Sevyn. Was actually the 7th child. Funny the next one didn't get called a variant spelling on 8.

Someone I know closely has some interesting name choices. I'm not into it personally.
I've had enough drama with two kids with names with slightly different spelling but actually in the names books. My own name has two variants even though it's traditional so I have often had to clarify and my husband has a unisex name but a female and male spelling and so many people want to give him the female version!

The story doing the rounds about the dad being called a 'dirty old man' for feeding his bub in a parents' room, the baby's name is Harpah.
    Lovely name, butchered spelling.

I didn't hear that story. Makes me very very sad. Shame they ruined their kid.
