    I went to uni with a Siobhan. I avoided mentioning her by name for 4 years until someone finally took pity on me and told me how to say her name.

    Siobhan is one of the better known ones now thanks to pop culture I think.

    My daughter has a 'PJ' in her class which I though was just the abbreviated version of something like 'Peter James', but nope! His name on the school photos is 'Peejay' ummm....WT?!
