Favourite children's books

Excellent suggestions! Heaps of books mentioned here we don't have yet for me to choose from for Xmas and birthdays. I actually had been thinking a while ago of getting her some illustrated Faraway Tree books but I object to the name changes. I might have a look and see if I can find the old ones.
As for our favourites, DS (21 months) likes Rudie Nudie, Dear Zoo, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Each Peach Pear Plum.
DD who is nearly 5, likes the Hippopotamus on the Roof eating cake series, Room on the Broom, Where the Wild Things are, Possum Magic and There's a Sea in my Bedroom.

My favourite subject! Children's books:
The Harry and the Dinosaurs series is good for older kids. As is the greedy grumpy hippo.
good night sleep tight is a good one with lots of rhymes.
Herve Tullet has some very interactive books:
I recently got this from the library and it was gorgeous (its now on my pinterest for future birthdays/xmas) https://www.bookdepository.com/Peep-.../9781409564010

DS1 (just turned 5) and his friends absolutely love the Oliver Jeffers books. The Day the Crayons Quit and The Day the Crayons Came Home are faves. Also This Moose Belongs to me, The Great Paper Caper, the Incredible Book Eating Boy.

I really enjoyed reading Roald Dahl books when I was younger. We've just started reading them with DS (5yrs). He's loving them. Favourites include Georges Marvellous Medicine, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Twits, Matilda, BFG.

I loved Enid blyton books - everything from the faraway tree to the secret seven and famous five.
Also the magic pudding, the gruffalo, grug, too many to mention!
