@Gypsy37 that's great work are understanding and flexible! Hope your fur baby is feeling ok today?
I hope your not feeling as sick today!!
@bubbles21 I'm not 100% certain on that one. I would assume so unless they're testing for things the NIPT test doesn't test.

My morning sickness is back today ladies. Not as severe but it's definitely back. I'm pretty happy about this. It's so reassuring.

@hopefull29, yay, that's great. It's funny how feeling crap is rejoiced. I wish that seeing the heartbeat made me less worried, but now I'm just freaking out that at my OB appt next Friday it won't be there- it's awful!
Let us know what NIPT test you ladies decide upon, I will discuss with my OB next week.
Fur baby is fine- just very greedy! She's angry with me because I only gave her a tiny breakfast.

What are the choices for NIPT test? I saw my GP today and they didn't mention any different types. How much do they cost?

@Gypsy37 @Finchee Our OB recommended that we only do NIPT if our combined blood/ NT scan came back high risk. He said he only recommends NIPT for ppl that are high risk (maternal age, family history etc.). NIPT generally costs around $500. If you opt for NIPT you will still need to do the NT scan to check for other non chromosomal abnormalities.
We took our OB's advice & did the NT scan with a view to do NIPT if the results suggested we were at risk. Thankfully the results were all low risk & we saved ourselves $500.

@Gypsy37 it is funny how excited we get to feel crap lol. I hope the next week goes quickly for you Hun. Just try stay positive. I have one more week until my next scan. The days just drag on and on. I've been not allowing myself to even think about there not being a heartbeat but I guess it's always at the back of my mind. Each week is a huge milestone, 10 weeks on Tuesday. I feel more confident each week.
Glad your fur baby is ok.
@Finchee harmony test is one of them, I think there's a few others. I can't recall the names right now though sorry. The place I'm getting mine done offers 2 types- harmony and something else. I'm not really sure what the differences are but I'll find out more at my appointment next week. Fees range from $450-550 I think. I know one offers results in 3-5 days and the other in 8-10 days.

@Muchulu1 that's interesting Hun. My FS said she recommends it for all, more so for IVF patients (that didn't do pgd testing). Would be nice to save $500 but I guess I'll just go with what the specialists recommend. It's kinda been my moto the whole way through having never been through this before.

@hopefull29 Are you going to find out the gender with your NIPT? We were planning on a surprise but now I can't stop wondering! Curiosity may just get the better of me . At our NT scan the sonographer referred to our bub as a 'she'. I'm not sure if the sonographer refers to all bubs as 'she' or if it was a genuine slip up & we are having a girl. This is all so exciting!!! We have been waiting for years for this !! Still can't quite believe it is all real!

@Muchulu1 I'm not finding out the gender. I always said I would but once I fell pregnant I changed my mind completely. I just feel like for me there's not many surprises with IVF so a surprise will be nice. It'll also help reign in my shopping
DH really really wants to know but I won and we've agreed on the surprise lol.

I'm thinking the sonographer refers to all babies as a "she" it really would be too early to tell just yet from a scan I think they'd all look like girls.

It is so exciting some days I can't believe it's real and actually finally happening!!

Is anyone else getting acne? I've got so many spots around my chin. I'm sure it's hormonal but I thought pregnancy was supposed to clear your skin, not make it worse!?
