    I like watching the track and fields events, but that's about it.

    I feel sorry for our athletes that have been forced to choose between giving up a massive opportunity or putting their health and safety at risk to compete at Rio.

    The Aussie Athletes seem very upbeat despite the problems.
    That's great to see.

    My boys are learning to swim so we'll watch anything water related.
    I love the diving and gymnastics.

    Default Rio Olympics 2016 - excited? Indifferent? Mildy interested?

    I enjoy watching some of the events if they happen to be on. I wouldn't record something to watch later though. I like the gymnastics mostly.. But I think the most talked about stuff this Olympics will be the massive fail in the way the committee has organised facilities, security and safety of athlete's health & wellbeing. I actually feel quite sorry for the Australian team

    ETA - I did get very caught up in the Olympics in 2000. The vibe around the city was incredible.

    Can't wait. Really looking forward to showing DD the swimming, cycling and gymnastics. I also like some of the equestrian events (except dressage, just don't really get it). I hate the weightlifting and boxing. Most other things I'll watch for interest.

    I'm looking forward to the opening ceremony. But I can't help feeling that Rio is not the right place for the Olympics. Choosing a country with such low human rights, poverty and crime doesn't sit right with me.

    I looove the Olympics. At my work we have had lots of Para-olymipians, and family and friends of Olymipian/Para-olympians through (Travel Medicine practice )...Some of their stories are amazing, especially the Para-olympians. I'm excited there is going to be 16hrs/day of the Para-olympians on Ch7...those athletes are so inspiring. The work and time all the Athletes put in is so incredible. I can't wait!!!
    So much of the health/ infrastructure issues are hugely beat up by the media - especially Zika virus. Every Olympics has its issues - for Beijing it was the horrific smog. I do think Rio/Brazil is not economically equipped to handle the event....there were better options.
