Excited! Anything to occupy my time as I battle chronic illness boredom.. Sadly I may be hospitalised during the Olympic so I'm happy it will help pass time.

Rio Olympics 2016 - excited? Indifferent? Mildy interested?

Couldn't care less. The bad promotional ads ( bloke standing at the end of a bench seat pretending to dive and the lady pretending to do javelin with a baguette really sh!t me lol) and the poor conditions in Rio have put me off watching.

Somewhere between excited and indifferent. I've got a relative competing, so that's exciting. But other than that, a bit meh really. I am concerned about the health and safety of those competing.

Looking forward to it as we have friends in beach volleyball competing

I don't really have much interest. It is a case of, if I see something, good, if not, no problem. We will be in Scotland for most of the time, so we will probably see the results from the UK perspective. I do hope everything is finished and ok for the athletes. I don't have much interest in South America, or Rio as a place to see. I feel quite indifferent really. marie.

Mostly indifferent. (DH is super keen though lol). I like some things like gymnastics, diving, shooting, golf & equestrian etc. But the majority of sports that get most of the prime screen time bore me to tears.

I find it really boring, but am horrifying fascinated with Rio.
The olympics is a waste of money IMHO.

I love the olympics but I think rio was a very poor choice of host city! I will be watching my favourites though, gymnastics, diving, swimming and volleyball.

I'm not looking forward to it. I know I'm a self centred grump, but likely they will show it on TV and disrupt the normal shows. I hate how our society is so sports centred. I also hate how much funding these athletes would of got from the govt. how it could be spent to make people's lives better. Reduce homelessness. Fund hospitals. So many better things could be done.
There's been big concerns about the Olympic village. The waterways are contaminated. Mosquitoes with zika. Why are we participating? Why would they have it there?
I can't wait til it's over. The problem is that in 4 years time my daughter will be in school and she will have to likely watch the crap on telly, do projects. I'm not looking forward to that
