We hold upright for 10-20 mins (depending on time of day and my laziness) and it minimises sick ups. Not completely but an improvement still.

I think my problem is a fast flow too.

I saw the family health nurse yesterday and she suggested keeping him upright for 20mins after a feed.

I tried that this morning (pretty much what you said) I let him fall asleep sitting up and then put him to bed after 20mins. It seemed to work.

So you only give him formula at night?? Does he get reflux during the day? Lucas gets it after most feeds, although it is worse at night.

Do u think it's the bottle or the formula that helps? We've tried giving him an expressed bottle, but it didn't help...

It's just so hard to see him screaming in discomfort/pain for a hour ☹️

Do you think Lachlan has grown out of it? Or is it the formula?

    (Sorry for all the questions!!)
That's ok!!! I did have a response written and then he spewed all over my phone lol

I only give Lachlan a formula bottle when I put him to bed of a night time. If he wakes during the night I feed him. I do however have to express before I go to bed otherwise it makes for a very uncomfortable night.

Lachlan does vomit during the day, I have to take a towel, yes a full on towel with me everywhere. I just have to keep him upright and burped before I put him to bed. I usually know that he has been burped enough when he takes the dummy. He won't take the dummy unless he has been burped enough.

To be honest, I think it's both the bottle and the formula. The bottle because it only comes out when he sucks and the formula because it's a bit heavier in his stomach.

I think he is slowly growing out of it and the time between feeds is increasing so that helps too.

We have reflux and swapped to novalac colic formula and no issues...
She was so uncomfortable before... we're up to a medium flow teat now and feed her upright
Wind is minimal and switched from losec to gavistron/my Lanta for infants... works a treat

Any of u ladies had much success in treating wind as I think that is little Abby's problem. She does not bring up any milk when burping but despite burping over my shoulder for 20-40min after every feed and bicycle legs she still suffers if and when I get her to sleep. Tried infants friend last feed and got a bit more gas out but still lots of wind noises and movements during her nap. She is breastfed.
