Unfortunately i couldnt take a birth photographer into theatre so i asked the midwife to take some shots hubby felt a bit queasy at the thought of it. But he was fine looking at the pictures. I had a photographer come take photos of my 3year old meeting his brother. I cant believe how big he is. First born was 2.26kg and 49cm this one is 3.84kg and 56cm.. huge. I am not a big person i weigh 52kg pre preg and only stand 157cm so i was full of baby

I love this picture so much. Mason holding his brother the first time you could see the exact moment he realised he was no longer an only child.

Has anyone else's baby suffered from reflux?
Poor Lucas ends up screaming after most feeds, for about an hour. It's absolutely heartbreaking to watch

I've booked in to see the GP but that's not until Monday. Any tips until then??

Hi Barca, Lachlan was the same. It's starting to settle thank good goodness but it's taken a while.

To be honest, it takes me a good hour to hour and a half to put him to bed. I now feed him a formula bottle to bed but I burp him every 20ml and once he is finished I leave him upright until he is asleep then lay him in my arms until he has been asleep for 20 minutes then I put him in his bassinet. He sleeps between 5.5 to 6.5 hours in that first lot once I put him down.

I think I have worked out what the problem was. It's the flow coming from me. It comes out way too fast. Could you see a lactation consultant?

Honestly the best thing I have ever done was to give him that formula bottle. It's the only one he gets of a day.

    Thanks Mona!

I think my problem is a fast flow too.

I saw the family health nurse yesterday and she suggested keeping him upright for 20mins after a feed.

I tried that this morning (pretty much what you said) I let him fall asleep sitting up and then put him to bed after 20mins. It seemed to work.

So you only give him formula at night?? Does he get reflux during the day? Lucas gets it after most feeds, although it is worse at night.

Do u think it's the bottle or the formula that helps? We've tried giving him an expressed bottle, but it didn't help...

It's just so hard to see him screaming in discomfort/pain for a hour ☚ī¸

Do you think Lachlan has grown out of it? Or is it the formula?

    (Sorry for all the questions!!)
