    Hi Ladies,

Sorry it's been a while, been a whirlwind several months. So I was admitted into the MBU which is a hospital unit for Mums and Bubs. They work on both the mum's mental health and also a lot on getting bubs into a routine and teaching u a lot of mother craft which was handy for this old duck who did not know much. I was admitted 30th November and discharged on the 13th of Jan. Before I went in I was scared to be by myself, would not leave the house with Abby and needed someone with me for nights as I could not sleep day or night. On being discharged I look after Abby 24*7 by myself and I am fully bonded with Abby and fall more in love with her each day, she has a routine but I also know how to handle if she skips a whole 4 hr day sleep or if I am out for the day and she gets limited sleep how to recover her to normal routine. At 3.5 months she sometimes sleeps through the night but typically has a feed which I love strangely as I love our nursing times even when dog tired which I didn't before. As for me, I can smile, laugh and enjoy being a mother but it's a hard mental journey each day to stay on track but it's getting easier. I met some wonderful mums struggling like me, met the kindest and inspiring nurses who taught me how to be a mum and to have faith in myself and the bond I have with my little girl, but I also saw some horrors in there too. It was one of the hardest things to get through and being home I am doing better each day, for the first time in a long time I know Abby and I are going to be Ok and I feel whole
