Yes he does. Not every night but sometimes he will do it for several days if he's congested or something.. I just give him a good shove and he stops

As a dentist who provides the mouthguard appliances others have spoken of - you can get relief!
We send for a sleep study, ENT referral if needed, consult with specialist sleep physician and determine appropriate treatment.
This can be CPAP (pressurised air through a nasal mask), surgery if needed or a mandibular advancement splint (special mouthguard) made by an appropriately trained dentist (you need to make sure the dentist has extra training to get best result).
If your husband has underlying sleep apnea this increases his risk of heart disease/attack, stroke, diabetes and premature death. One of the symptoms of sleep apnea is snoring - people with sleep apnea do not always gasp and choke whilst sleeping.
Make him see his gp or appropriately trained dentist for treatment. Otherwise you may just suffocate him with your pillow. ;-)
