Wouldn't be in a gym around where I live. Usually the lowest cp ones are in the high 1000's or low 2,000's.

    What level are you on?

I have to agree, you'd be unlikely to match a gym around here unfortunately.

I can take down a gym with a about 3 or 4 in it with some of mine. But most seem to have 9 or 10 so I've got no hope lolIMG_1477556375.103557.jpg

Nah give it a go @Wise Enough I go in to gyms and get my but kicked. I'm higher then you and have higher Pokemon but what the hell. It's part of the game and it's all good fun really!

Unfortunately I live in the country so have to wait until I go to town. No Pokémon where I love which is why I'm on such a low level. Will try it though! So do I need to stay at the gym or do I just drop them off to die?

I take down gyms all the time. I have just educated myself on which pokemon are best against other types and then line them up in order of what will take down what.

One of my local mystic gyms had all fire and grass type pokemon so today I dropped in a level 2420 lapras so it will be harder to take down.

Even with low level pokemon it is worth battling gyms as even if you just beat the lowest pokemon it drops the gym's prestige and can knock the lowest pokemon out, making it easier for the next person.

    Lol

Ok if the gym is the same team as you and there is space (an icon will be visible on the bottom left when you enter the gym) then you can leave a Pokémon to die. If you leave one make sure you go into the shop straight away and tap the top right corner icon to get your 10 poke coins. Your Pokémon will come back to you when it is defeated and you'll need to use revive and other potions to bring them back to full health.

If the gym is a different colour then you have to stick around and battle. Battle is just repeatedly tapping your screen. Next to your Pokemon image at the top of the screen there are two bars. One is your health once it's gone you're gone. Below it is your special attack once that bar is full tap and hold to release your special attack. You chose 6 Pokemon to take into battle so once one is defeated the next will automatically appear.

    Have fun!!
