    Have to agree with PP. Not all places are equal. I have had a multitude of scans this pregnancy and the earlier ones were done at a bulk billing place and not only were scan pics and quality horrible, but bedside manner was even worse.
    I only lasted two scans there, and have had every other scan at a specialised woman's imaging place. They are so much more experienced, you can tell they have the best of the best machines by the quality of their images. I also find that the sonographer who does my scans is actually a doctor and obgyn so I get every bit of information then and there, as well as my own report to take home.
    Best part is if God forbid, something does look unusual or wrong, they have someone there to talk to you ASAP, rather than having to wait for a GP appointment.

    No! The Medicare rebate covers them checking a very specific list of things, the better places charge more but check lots more....

    And FYI my stupid ex-GP refused to give me a referral for there but when I called them they were happy to accept any ultrasound referral letter. Good luck. X
