Hi Ladies, this may sound like a really dumb question but being #1 I have NO idea what I'm doing lol.. do I just go visit my regular dr first and then het a refferal to OBGYN or something? I don't have an OBGYN of my own and usually just get papsmears etc done by my regular dr

If you go public you will get a referral to your chosen hospital or you can book directly without a referral in many cases. Many hospitals have different programs including midwifery group program (MGP) where you see the same midwife each visit and hopefully get her for birth as well. Some hospitals have homebirth programs too. If you get classed as high risk for any reason you're more likely to see an Ob each time as well as midwives.
If you go private you will hire your own Ob that services your chosen hospital. You need health insurance for this option or you'd be out of pocket many thousands.
Other options are birth centers, or homebirth with private midwives (my 1st choice).
