Ahh congrats @Linlin !! That's a nice strong line in my books eek.. I felt the same when I got my BFP it was a similar strength line so I tested again three times over a few days hehe but I think I also just love seeing the pink line hehe

Hubby and I are still currently on our honeymoon so haven't been to the dr yet but we're booked in first thing next week when we get home so I'm starting to get a little more excited hehe

Hi ladies! I still read along in this thread and wanted to say congrats to those who've gotten their bfp's! This thread pretty much got me through ttc (even though it was only 3 months in the end) and the anxiety of miscarriage after 4 of them. I'm rooting for you all and will continue to read along and cheer at the bfp's!!!! I'm 15w now and if I can do it after multiple mcs, you all can (hang in there)! Good luck!

Thanks so much for all your support and congratulations ladies! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have gone out and got an FRER to test again and I still may not know I am pregnant! Very grateful for all your advice!
@kylez83 I bad saying this, but we weren't actually trying to conceive until next month. I miscalculated my last period and we did the DTD on what I thought was two days after ovulation (and we thought there was no chance so we just didn't use contraception) but when I look back we probably DTD within 24 hours after I O. So unfortunately, I don't have any tricks and tips, I was hoping for some myself on this forum! I wish you all the best @kylez83 high sperm count sounds really promising and using Chinese her s definitely wouldn't hurt (they do taste horrible though!) FX for you!

Well here is the update from seeing the fertility specialist....

In short it will be unlikely for us to conceive naturally because we have low sperm count. My partner needs to do another sperm count and antibodies test to make sure the first test was correct and if it's the same our only option is ivf. If it's higher our options are iui or ivf. It's unlikely it will be high enough that we can conceive naturally.

I just don't know what to think or feel. I didn't think this is the route we would have to take. Where we live we only have 3 options of ivf a year, march, July, September. So we are out until march at the earliest. And I have to have a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy before the ivf to make sure I'm all good too, which is day surgery.

We are still going to keep trying and hope we get a miracle in the meantime but yeah, that's where we are at. I'm still glad we saw the specialist. I would recommend it to all who are trying more and 6 months and are over 30. Better to find out early what's wrong and start working towards a solution rather than worry about it not happening.

Good luck to the you all xo

@kylez83 sorry to hear that it looks like ivf is the only option, good thing you went now rather than later. Its odd that your ivf places only have the option of doing it 3 times a year. @Felicia husband was taking chinese herbs for low sperm count and from memory his sperm count increased over a 3 month course. Perhaps this might be an option for you.

@curlybird thanks. My partner has been taking some Chinese herbs in the last month so we are hoping that we will see an increase in this next sperm test. The question is if we do see an increase do we keep trying naturally or do we just go ahead with the ivf? What would you ladies do?

Oh and @curlybird the reason why it's only 3 times a year is because we are regional, between Brisbane and Sydney

@kylez83 well you have got a while before you could even try ivf so you might as well keep trying naturally in the mean time.

Awwww kylez83 thank you for keeping us updated. I'm sorry to hear that the FS doesn't think you can conceive without assistance. Itll probably take awhile for that to sink in.
I've thought about what's happen if I received similar info... I think personally I'd look in for IVF but continue trying in the meantime. That's just me though Feel free to vent, cry or chat to us about it. We may not have advice but the listening ear is always here x
