    If it's a state school insurance will be through the department and the amount you can recover is usually capped (low). I agree with @littleriv. Go through the school. I'd be focussing on making sure it just never is allowed to happen again.

    Thanks so much, we'll do that. I know the school are doing their best but it's really frustrating when our DD is always getting hurt.
